In February 2016 Lori Cousineau Weaver was named in a complaint by the state of Washington following allegations she offered and sold non-traded real estate investment trusts (REITs) “through unsuitable recommendations and failed to disclose complete information regarding the fees, commissions, and liquidity” of the products in question. The state is seeking to suspend Ms. Cousineau Weaver’s registration and to impose fines and charges in the pending complaint.

In 2014 a customer alleged Lori Cousineau Weaver, while employed at Ameriprise Financial, advised a rollover despite her lack of registration to sell investments in the customer’s country. The complaint settled in October 2015 for more than $14,900.
