Eric Kuchel Discharged from LPL Financial

According to the complaint, “Kuchel’s repeated delays and failures to provide the requested on-the-record testimony, spanning nearly nine months from the original request, materially impeded the investigation with Kuchel in connection with certain mutual fund transactions in his customers’ accounts and whether he participated in a private securities transaction.” The action remains pending.

In January 2016, a customer complained that Eric Kuchel, while employed at LPL Financial, executed an unauthorized transaction. The customer is seeking unspecified damages.

In 2015, Eric Kuchel was discharged from his position at LPL Financial following allegations that he failed to appear for an on-the-record interview with FINRA.

In 2012, a customer alleged that Eric Kuchel, while employed at the firms prior to LPL made unsuitable investment recommendations, breached his fiduciary duty, misrepresented material facts, and failed to supervise in connection to investments in non-traded real estate investment trusts (REITs) and tenant-in-common (TIC) investments. The complaint resulted in an award to the customer of $277,468.
