Edward D. Jones & Co , is a not -public brokerage firm, based in St. Louis, with many small offices throughout the U.S.. Edward D. Jones & Co. seeks out smaller offices, generally, servicing people outside of the largest areas, although it does have offices in cities and financial centers.

Almost all of the Edward Jones’ branch offices have one or two stockbrokers and perhaps another office person, receptionist or secretary. There is a dual risk in the small office model. The commission rates for the stockbrokers tend to be higher and there is no onsite supervision. This combination can be fuel for trouble in some circumstances
