We appreciate the Minnesota area, and unlike most other lawyers, won’t complain about the winters. We try to not make these claims personal against the brokers, but rather focus on the large firms, such as Merrill Lynch, that have a duty to supervise the financial advisors. Many times, we believe that the firms push good brokers to encourage unsuitable investments–at big profits to the firm–and then just blame the brokers when there are losses. We put the blame where it belongs, with the firm, and only with the broker when facts show that.
